Performance of the Year Tremaine Finals 2011

We are very proud of our dancers’ accomplishments here at Edmunds Towers School of Dance. Many of our students have received scholarships to take dance classes in L.A., New York, the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School, Quinte Ballet School, and Cecchetti ballet seminars at Hope College.

Our dancers have gone on to dance in L.A., Europe, New York, on cruise ships, in movies, with Michael Flatley in River Dance, and with the Radio City Rockettes. Some of our studio alumni have opened very successful dance studios and others are teaching at various locations around the world.

Edmunds Towers School of Dance is the home of the Windsor Competitive Dance Company, under the direction of Dianne Edmunds and Donna Towers Bolohan. The Company has competed throughout Canada and the United States, bringing home numerous awards and scholarships that have led our dancers to national finals.

In July 2011, the company traveled to Orlando, Florida for Tremaine Dance Convention and Competition finals. The company competed against 40 dance schools from around the United States and Canada. Each performance was judged by nationally acclaimed dancers including Ann Margaret, Carrie Ann Inaba, and Chita Rivera as well as Emmy Award winning
choreographers from around the world. As a result of the dancers’ dedication and hard work, WCDC is proud to have won the Highest Award and become the Grand Champions of the 2011 “Tremaine Performance of the Year”. In addition, the Junior Team was awarded the Junior Judges’ Choice Best Showmanship.
