Ballet Day

Once again the Southern Ontario Chapter of the Cecchetti Council of America held its annual Ballet Day. This year, Edmunds Towers School of Dance hosted the Ballet Day where approximately 200 students from Windsor and Sarnia participated in classes. Guest teachers were from Toronto, Michigan, and Windsor. The excitement of the workshop was the guest teacher Melissa Williams, choreographer from So You Think You Can Dance Canada. Over 100 students auditioned for scholarships to attend ballet summer school at Hope College in Holland, Michigan. Congratulations to our dancers, Katerina Stavridis and Allison Smith for winning summer school scholarships. The following dancers received scholarships to attend Ballet Day in 2010: Kyla Dumlao, Alex Pandolfi and Alexia Stavridis.
