Dianne Edmunds, Donna Towers Bolohan - Owners/Instructors
Dianne Edmunds and Donna Towers Bolohan are sisters and co-owners of Edmunds Towers School of Dance. They are Licentiate members of the Cecchetti Council of America and hold their Teachers Intermediate Professional Certificates. As dance instructors with 42 years of dance experience they strive to develop students’ self confidence, poise, coordination, discipline, and love of dance arts in a positive way. They are founders and artistic directors of the Windsor Competitive Dance Company and are currently board members of the Southwestern Ontario Committee of the Cecchetti Council of America. Along with providing professional dance education to their students, they also travel throughout the United States continuing their studies and adjudicating dance competitions.
Brianne DeSanti
Brianne has shown her devotion for dance for the last 14 years and this will be her second year on our teaching staff. She joined Edmunds Towers School of Dance as a student at the age of 9, studying tap, ballet, jazz, and lyrical. Throughout her dancing career, Brianne has danced competitively for 5 years and brought home many tap scholarships. She is currently in her fifth year of the Concurrent Education program at the University of Windsor. Brianne has studied tap in New York with many renowned tap teachers and had the opportunity to perform at Radio City Music Hall. Recently, she was invited to teach summer dance classes in Switzerland. Brianne’s enthusiasm for tap is contagious and she loves sharing this with her students.
Jaclyn Drew
Jaclyn has been dancing since she was 3 years old, studying tap, ballet, jazz and lyrical. As early as the age of 8, she was invited to start competing at some of the most respected dance competitions in the United States, where she won various awards. Jaclyn had the opportunity to showcase her talents in the plays Chicago and Cats. She now teaches for the Windsor Competitive Dance Company and will be co-teaching our pre-competitive dance program this fall. She continues to study all forms of dance throughout Canada and the United States. Jaclyn’s classes are always full of energy and loved by all.
Kristen Edwards
Kristen started dancing at the age of 4 and was a part of the Windsor Competitive Dance Company for 8 years; during that time, she won several awards, including a recognition award from Extreme Dance. She has studied dance at both the Performing Arts Center and The Edge Performing Arts Center in California. Kristen is currently in her 3rd year of Nursing at the University of Windsor, and she continues to study dance throughout Canada and the United States today. Kristen’s love of dance began at a young age, and she is thrilled to be able to continue sharing her love of dance with her students at Edmunds Towers School of Dance.
Suzanne George
Suzanne was one of the original teachers at Edmunds Towers School of Dance and one of the first members of the Windsor Competitive Dance Company. She has been dancing for 31 years and teaching for the past 17 years. Over the years, she has helped to train many of our senior dancers. She is a dedicated teacher and strives to enrich all of her students with her expertise in dance. Suzanne is a member of the Cecchetti Council of America and continues to study all forms of dance. Along with her dancing, Suzanne is a teacher with the French Catholic School Board and a wonderful mom to Sophie and Noah.
Ashley Gignac
Ashley began taking dance at the age of 4 and has danced both recreationally as well as competitively for four years. She is currently in her 4th year in the Drama and Education Program at the University of Windsor. She continues to study dance throughout Canada and the United States. Ashley has won scholarships, which have given her the opportunity to study dance in L.A. at the Performing Arts Center and the Edge Performing Arts Center. Ashley's love for dance and teaching has motivated her to continuously learn, improve and appreciate this art form. She looks forward to sharing her passion with others. We are pleased to have Ashley on the staff at Edmunds Towers School of Dance.
Ashley Malenfant
Ashley started dancing at the age of 3 and was one of the first young dancers to join our original junior competitive company. She danced competitively for ten years, bringing home many regional and national awards. She recently graduated from the University of Windsor with a degree in Criminology and is currently working on her Master’s degree. Ashley has been an exciting addition to our staff and will now be co-teaching our pre-competitive program. Ashley is thrilled to be able to share her love of dance with students of all ages.
Samantha Passa
Samantha has danced since the age of 6 and competed for the Windsor Competitive Dance Company since the age of 9. She has won several dance scholarships over the years and has had the opportunity to study ballet in Japan and at the Quinte Ballet School. Most recently, she was awarded an apprenticeship with the Extreme Dance convention. This gave her the opportunity to travel all over Canada and the United States. Samantha’s love of dance is apparent to all who watch her perform.
Beth Ann Prince
Beth Ann has been part of the Edmunds Towers Dance family for over 25 years and has been teaching part-time at the studio for 21 years. Beth Ann has taught all ages and now enjoys teaching extra tap and ballet classes. Her expertise in ballroom has helped to make our ballroom dance program the success that it is today. Beth Ann is currently the Newspaper Sales and Marketing Manager at The Windsor Star. She is also a passionate community volunteer and is a past president of the Rotary Club of Windsor, Roseland. Beth Ann brings a wealth of knowledge and energy to our staff.
Christine Scott
Christine’s love of dance began at the age of 4 when she stared taking lessons in tap and ballet. She competed successfully on our competitive company for ten years, during which time she brought home many awards. Christine’s love of ballet earned her a scholarship with the Quinte Ballet School. Christine is a graduate from the University of Windsor and is currently enrolled at the Faculty of Education. She also continues her dance education, traveling throughout the United States and Canada working with renowned teachers. Christine’s dedication to dance and teaching is an inspiration to all who study with her.
Lynn Tourangeau
Lynn has a great love for dance and strives to share that with each student she teaches. With 21 years of dance experience in tap, ballet and jazz and 10 years of teaching, Lynn brings great energy to our staff. After competing for eight years, she became part of the teaching staff as well as a choreographer for the Windsor Competitive Dance Company. Her expertise and creativity make Lynn’s choreography award-winning on regional and national levels. Lynn received her diploma as a Developmental Service Worker and is now a program consultant for children with Autism. Lynn and a co-worker spearheaded our annual summer dance camp program, which continues to run successfully each year. She is currently a member of the Cecchetti Council of America and continues to study all forms of dance.
Kristyn Wiklanski
Kristyn’s life long passion for dance began at the age of 3. She studied tap, ballet, and jazz, and also belonged to the competitive team at Edmunds Towers School of Dance for 8 years. After graduating from Walkerville CI, she was awarded a scholarship to the Performing Arts Center Apprentice Program in California. While in the apprentice program, Kristyn continued her ballet discipline, studying with Sallie Whalen of the San Francisco Ballet. She also trained under the direction of Joseph Malone, Jackie Sleight, Mark Goodman, Doug Caldwell, and Michelle Elkin, to name a few. Following her graduation from the Apprentice Program Kristyn embarked on her professional dance career. Her most honoured credit is to have performed as a Radio City Rockette for three seasons. Kristyn has also been fortunate enough to have toured Europe as a member of the cast of Grease The Musical, explored the United States and Brazil with the National Tour of Cats, and sailed the seas with her husband as Dance Captain with Celebrity Cruises. Kristyn is excited to be returning to the Windsor area and to begin sharing her love, passion and knowledge of dance with students at Edmunds Towers School of Dance.
